Rumoi to Bibai (Day 5)

The road over the hill to Takikawa is about 20km of uphill at 2% then you run downhill to the 233 and 275 intersection (there is a great farm stall here). We headed for Takikawa, some on the main roads and some on the river cycling road. The cycling path is very confusing and the roads were not so busy so we would recommend the main road. The river at Takikawa is a nice place to stop for lunch. It is then 20km down to Bibai where we went to a great onsen a few kms uphill from Bibai station called Yurinkan (500en per person). We stayed with Steve in Bibai where we camped in his garden.
