75 km uphill- Sept 3rd
Written by Emi on Sep 3rd, 2008 and posted in On the RoadWe are exactly 1 month into our tour. Wow! And what a way to celebrate: with a huge climb and delicious vegetarian goodness!
We all knew coming into today that the ride would be tough- climbing over 1000m in elevation over 65km, and tough it was! But at the end of the day, we all made it, and Fuji-san even came out from behind the clouds to say congrats before we sat down to a delicious meal prepared by Emiko- the wonderful chef here at Earth Embassy.
And yes, that IS Fuji-san peaking out in the background of the picture of Juan Carlos chilling by Saiko lake.
