staying with our sponsors

Alishan is a company supporting the BEE ride this year by providing us with organic food sent to checkpoints throughout the ride. Peanut butter, oatmeal, dried figs, and fruit and nut bars that fit in the back pocket of our jerseys while we ride are some of our favorites!
August 35th and 26th, they also hosted us. We stayed next door to the big red bar that is their Cafe. The location couldn’t have been nicer, across the street from a green mountain and situation right along a healthy river and a beautiful red bridge.
We set our selves up on yoga mats, cracked open some chilled organic beers on the house and eagerly awaited Lindsey’s special organic dinner. From what I remember, it was a twist on an Egyptian recipe, and is pronounced like “fool,” but probably not spelled that way ;)
The following day, the six of us split into morning and afternoon shifts to clean the riverside area of garbage, and helped unload a shipment for Alishan in between.
The stir fry dinner by Heraldo was great, and we were off the next morning after directions and map help from our host Jack.
