Hi all. We`ve just come out of a few days of intense rain on the road here. But the forecast thankfully looks sunny for the next few days. There`s some rumor of two typhoon colliding in the path of our ferry to Okinawa on Tuesday, so we`re hoping that changes somehow!!

Yuji, a guy we met in Hiroshima and rode and camped with us for three days slit ways with us on the 24th and we headed to Yamaguchi prefecture. There, Motoki who runs Ryuozan Camp located on the top of a hill will gorgeous views of the ocean, hooked us up with not just a campin spot, but a full on trailor with kitchen and showers and beds!! THANKS Motoki :)

From Yamaguchi, there is an underground tunnel which connects to Kyushu island, where we were going next, but as it was under construction, they packed our bikes into moving trucks and we bussed over to Kyushu island.

After an event with Patagonia on the twenty-sixth, one of the staff members, Takumi rode with us for a day. His wife made us all a microbiaotic style lunch, which was delicious! We managed to escape a quick downpoor under the eaves of a grocery store and arrive at our camp spot, amongst a playground with plenty of daylight left. If you get a chance, asked Rocio what it`s like to sleep in the crawl tube of a kid`s play structure! ;)
