Are you BEE 2010 material?
Written by Salem on Oct 31st, 2009 and posted in 2009, All topicsThe 2009 Tour finished earlier this month, and all of us are busy as…dare I say it…BEEs…trying to readjust to “normal” lifestyles. Ashley, Heraldo, and I have all returned to the US, all unemployed and though I can’t speak for all of us I’m pretty sure we’re happy to be back. Rocio and Lindsey are still in Japan; Rocio riding her way back up across Kyushu and Honshu to Gunma before winter sets in; and Lindsey preparing for a traveling and volunteering stint in India and Nepal. As many already know John will be in Shimokawa, Hokkaido on the JET Programme at least through August of 2010, and Winston will be closing out his undergrad work at Temple University in Tokyo summer of 2010.
So enough about us, you’ve been hearing all about our adventure for the past several months–now it’s time to hear from you! We are on the lookout for people who want to get involved with BEE in 2010. Volunteers, hosts, but most importantly, RIDERS! If you’ve been keeping up with our blog posts, you probably know that participating in BEE doesn’t require that you be a superbuff triathelete (although it can’t hurt). Anyone in decent physical condition and the desire to challenge themselves can have a great time. Probably the greater feat is living sustainably and learning what it takes to lead a low-impact life on the road.
But not to worry–you’ll have tons of support from us on the 2009 team, detailed notes of our experiences, contact lists of people who can help you out on the road, etc. We’re especially eager to hear from any potential 2010 TEAM LEADERS, so please send us a message via our “Contact BEE” form on the top bar if you think you’ve got what it takes. I’ll be getting the 2010 application up within the week, but if you are really interested and want to get in touch with us sooner please feel free to do so!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
