I'm finishing up a year in Tottori City, Tottori, having come from Los Angeles, CA. In L.A., a city infamous for its love of cars, I was an avid bicycle commuter and utility cyclist, living car-light between me and my wife, Bronwyn. I have an interest in the bicycle as a vehicle for both environmental and social change - reducing one's carbon footprint while also returning urban space to people, creating walkable (and rideable) areas that support local businesses rather than chain stores surrounded by acres of parking lots. I'm also very interested in green technology and products and processes that curb our consumption of resources in a smart and efficient way. I'm looking forward to the BEE ride and learning as much as possible while spreading our enthusiasm and our message along the way.
