Bicycle for Everyone’s Earth

Rocio

I was born in northwest of Spain but moved to Switzerland at an early age and spent there my schooling years. I like experiencing different ways of moving because they teach me different perspectives and different rhythms of life. I came to Japan 2 years ago and this is how I have experienced the country so far: Japan by SHIP: I came to Japan as a Volunteer Spanish Teacher onboard the Peace Boat which took me on a trip around the northern hemisphere. Japan by FOOT: My woofing experiences in Japan increased my interest in permaculture and the idea of creating a lasting and self-sufficient environment. Japan on SNOWBOARD. I have a passion for reliefs and curves. Flat surfaces make me feel oppressed…I spent two winter seasons hibernating in the Swiss Alps and one in Nozawa Onsen in the Japanese Alps. Japan by BIKE: I like the sensation of self propulsion and freedom on a bike. On my bike I am discovering hidden spots here in Gunma I wouldn’t notice otherwise. I have never been on long rides, but who knows, I may get hooked on long tour cycling and plan more challenging routes. What a wonderful way of getting to Europe…I think.
