Support BEE
BEE Ride 2009 needs your help
As you can imagine, a 2.5-month-long end-to-end cycling tour of Japan takes a lot of planning. Although we have an awesome team of riders, BEE can only succeed with your help. Please take time to read about the many ways you can support the ride this year.
Organise a home stay
Are you one of those fortunate enough to have a huge apartment or house with a big pile of futons? Then why not host the team? The ride works on a very tight budget and so does a lot of camping but whenever we can we try to have home stays along the way. We can’t offer you payment but we can offer our undying gratitude, a few stories and laughs and a space on our supporters wall of fame. Check out the route to see when we will be passing through your area.
Organise an event
Do you have a passion for environmental action? Do you represent your local AJET chapter or are you perhaps involved with a community group? If so, then we want to hear from you. In the past, BEE supporters have organized beach / river clean-ups with local people, solidarity bike rides (a lot of people riding with us for a few hours), BBQs (vegetarian of course!), lectures at community centers, etc.
If you consider us as a roving band of eco-educators, the range of possible events along the way is huge. Again, check the route to see when we will be in your area.
Volunteer your time
BEE Japan is always looking for people to volunteer their time to help spread the BEE message. Maybe you are a web wiz and can help us run beejapan.org or maybe you rock the Nihongo and can offer your services as a translator. Perhaps you are an avid cyclist and can advise on what roads to or not to follow during our ride. If you have anything you can give please e-mail us.
Become a sponsor
Whether you are a company interested in supporting our cause or an individual desperate to get your hand on the BEE JAPAN T-SHIRT, Look no further than the sponsor page.
If you don’t fit into any of the above categories but want to keep in touch then please join the mailing list using the signup box on the right. We will be sure to keep you up to date with our plans.
